About Us
The Serbian Group for Primary Immunodeficiencies (SGPI) was established in 2019, initially based in Niš, under the expert leadership of Professor Goran Marjanović from the University Clinical Center Niš. The association was founded with a clear goal: to improve the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of primary immunodeficiencies (PID) in Serbia.
In August 2024, a new presidency and Board of Directors were elected, with the current headquarters in Belgrade. We launched new development directions and further strengthened SGPI as a national platform for comprehensive action in the field of Inborn Errors of Immunity (IEI), as PID are currently classified.
Today, SGPI brings together an increasing number of active and honorary members and serves as a hub for continuous professional development, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of clinical practice.
