Greeting Message

Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Collaborators in the Field of Diagnosis and Treatment of Inborn Errors of Immunity, and Honored Guests,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of registration for the First International Symposium of the Serbian Group for Primary Immunodeficiencies (SGPI 2025), titled:

“Decoding Inborn Errors of Immunity: From Molecular Roots to Therapeutic Frontiers”

The symposium will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Belgrade, at the Yugoslav Film Archive, Uzun Mirkova 1, commencing at 9:00 AM.

The SGPI 2025 Scientific Committee has developed a comprehensive and dynamic program encompassing a wide spectrum of Inborn Errors of Immunity (IEI)—ranging from hereditary disorders of innate and adaptive immunity (including humoral and combined immunodeficiencies) to immune dysregulation syndromes and autoinflammatory diseases.

With the participation of renowned experts from Serbia and abroad, SGPI 2025 will present state-of-the-art advancements in the field of IEI, covering cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, such as genetic analysis, as well as the latest therapeutic innovations, including targeted therapies and stem cell transplantation.

Organized in collaboration with Supporting Persons with Primary Immunodeficiency (SPwPID/POsPID), the symposium will also provide a dedicated forum for individuals living with IEI to engage in meaningful discussions regarding the challenges they encounter—spanning early symptoms, diagnosis, and long-term treatment management. A central aim of this event is to amplify the voices of patients and to foster collaborative efforts toward enhancing healthcare services, preventing complications, and improving overall quality of life.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the esteemed associations, institutions, and organizations that support SGPI 2025, including: European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID), International Patient Organization for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI), University Clinical Center of Serbia (UCCS), Mother and Child Health Care Institute of Serbia, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE), Regional Medical Chamber of Belgrade (RMCB)

We eagerly anticipate your participation in SGPI 2025 and look forward to welcoming you to this prestigious scientific gathering.

Asst. Prof. Maja Stojanović
President of the Serbian Group for Primary Immunodeficiencies

SGPI 2025

The SGPI 2025 Symposium is a distinguished scientific and professional event dedicated to highlighting the critical importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with congenital immune system disorders, collectively known as Inborn Errors of Immunity (IEI). This symposium serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise through engaging discussions, while also fostering opportunities for professional networking with colleagues from both national and international institutions. A key objective of this gathering is to facilitate institutional and global collaboration in the field.

The exchange of knowledge, ideas, and clinical experiences is expected to contribute to advancing scientific understanding and increasing awareness of these highly complex immune disorders. The ultimate goal is to enhance professional expertise in the diagnosis and management of IEI, thereby improving patient outcomes and overall quality of life.

The SGPI 2025 Symposium is currently undergoing accreditation as an international scientific event. No registration fee is required for participation.

Due to the limited number of available places, prior registration is mandatory. Participants must complete the registration form provided below. Confirmation of registration and participation will be sent to the email address submitted during the registration process.

We invite all interested colleagues to submit scientific abstracts aligned with the symposium’s thematic focus areas, including: Congenital immune system disorders – primary immunodeficiencies, including hereditary angioedema and autoinflammatory disorders, Secondary immunodeficiencies.

Abstracts should be submitted via email to sgpid.registracija@gmail.com by February 25, 2025. Notifications regarding the selection of abstracts for presentation will be sent no later than March 20, 2025.

As part of the symposium program, a special award will be conferred for the most outstanding scientific contribution, to be presented during the SGPI 2025 Symposium.
