Full Prof. Dr. Branka Bonači-Nikolić is a specialist in internal medicine and a subspecialist in allergy and clinical immunology. She is employed at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and works at the Clinic of Allergy and Immunology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, where she is engaged in both clinical and research activities. Prof. Bonači-Nikolić leads the laboratory for the diagnosis of allergic, autoimmune diseases, and immunodeficiencies.
Her main areas of expertise include autoimmune diseases and primary immunodeficiencies. She focuses particularly on the diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients with rare diseases, including the development of new biomarkers and the implementation of innovative therapeutic approaches in patient care.
She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in international journals (ORCID: 0000-0003-3014-4075) and actively participates in the education of students and young physicians. From 2003–2004, she served as President of the Serbian Association for Allergology and Immunology. She is a member of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID), the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), and the Serbian Lupus Group (SGL).
